DRVN Abu Dhabi Interior Design

DRVN Coffee Abu Dhabi was once a site that was supposed to be a car showroom. However, it was decided that it would be a gallery, café and co-working space for the public. DRVN is stretched across two floors and measures 8,000 square feet.

Our brief was to create a design that paid homage to the nature of the central attraction. Keeping it industrial, and raw but avoiding the overdone design of brick and steel. The cars as the centrepiece were to be protected, meaning we had to custom design storage units for them. Units that could be opened and closed allowing the collection of cars to change each month. As there was so much space available we were also tasked with creating fully functional coffee roasters and café.

The FINCH team were inspired by the using old car parts and the industrial nature of a garage. The design is industrial chic. The DRVN Abu Dhabi interior design is all about being a space that celebrates these cars as pieces of art. Rather just being another car cafe.  In addition to the coffee roasters and the cars the design also has a beautiful focal point that centers on the pizza oven. All of the furniture and fixtures were custom designed by the FINCH team.
